We have a production line to custom weld structural beams, including the most commonly used types: I-beams (also called H beams in China), W beams (also known as universal beams or universal columns). These beams offer an economical and efficient cross section for carrying both bending and shear loads. Hot rolling is the most common solution for small and mid-range structural beams, and welding is used for special, non-standard sizes. These beams are more practical when made of stainless steel, or at a small purchase amount.
A custom welded beam (sometimes referred to as a 3-plate beam, fabricated beam or bespoke beam) is 3 individual metal plates welded together, consisting of top flange, web and bottom flange. Dimensions and properties of a welded beam can be optimized for a specific application by combining different size of flanges and webs. Tapered or asymmetrical beams are two examples of special sections customer may ask us to fabricate, both of which are highly cost effective.
Shown here are a few I beams made of stainless steel grade S30408, custom made for use in the petrol-chemical industry. We earned customer satisfaction by utilizing outstanding quality control in each process, including plate cutting, plate beveling, erection, welding, straightening,NDT. Subsequent fabrications such as cutting, punching, drilling, sandblasting and painting can be done in house as well.
Custom Structural Beam Weld Dimensions:
Flange width 150-800mm
Flange thickness 6-60mm
Web height 200-2000mm
Length of beam 2000-15000mm
